I’ll share a little bit about me and my business.
I have always loved flowers and growing them from a young age and had always wished I’d followed that love as a career however life had other plans. I’ve had many different jobs and also took time out to bring up my family. So it wasn’t until ‘life after a family’ gave me more time to consider what I really wanted to do in life. Having a life long love of flowers I have always arranged flowers and took several floristry courses over the years so this was the obvious choice. I wanted my floristry to have a natural garden gathered style and knew this wasn’t easy using straight stemmed commercially grown flowers. I was also aware that imported flowers have a big carbon footprint so I started looking for British grown flowers. During my search I came across Flowers from the Farm a network of British flower growers all running their own businesses on various different scales but all working together to promote British grown flowers. So in the summer of 2014 I took a leap of faith and started my own artisan floristry and flower growing business.
It’s always a joy to gather up a lovely collection of ingredients from the garden and create unique bouquets, making them all special in their own way. And my passion is to share what beauty lies within the British garden both with couples looking for seasonal wedding flowers and through my talks and workshops.
Collaboration is important to my business, I have met and worked with so many super talented suppliers in the wedding industry it’s always a great opportunity to work together to create a look to Wow potential couples.
