Flowers bring us comfort in our time of need and convey our love and friendship when words are too difficult to express.
Here at The Flower Patch I specialise in natural seasonal flowers and foliages (always British where possible) to create relaxed garden gathered sympathy tributes.
I am here to help you add that personal and thoughtful touch, so your funeral tribute is as unique as the person it’s made for. Each design is created with your loved one in mind.
I work from my home studio and grow many of my own flowers. They are seasonal, scented and picked freshly for you. I can also include flowers from the garden of your loved one or their family to make the tribute even more personal.
During the winter months when my own flowers are not available I can source from a network of ethical British growers and also love to include plants and bulbs into the arrangements, which can then be planted as a reminder of your loved one.
Being sustainable is important to me so I use natural & biodegradable/compostable materials suitable for natural burials, green funerals & woodland memorials: all of which is so much kinder to our environment. Unfortunately most funeral flowers are made in green foam which is a plastic and does not biodegrade and also causes plastic particles to go into our rivers and seas causing catastrophic damage to our sea life. So we hope you will consider an alternative from the range we provide below.

I am based in Measham on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border and I can deliver to your chosen undertaker, your home, or you are welcome to collect if you prefer.

Natural Garden Flower Style Arrangement
Our signature wild garden style arrangement is perfect for garden and nature lovers. It is designed to look like a mini garden border using seasonal flowers and foliages. We can also add in plants and bulbs during the winter and spring months. This can be made up as one long arrangement or made in modules so these can then be shared out after the funeral. Suitable for a natural/green burial.

Natural Tied Flower Sheaf
A simply beautiful gathering of seasonal flowers and foliages, arranged in a flat backed sheaf so that it lies on top of the coffin. Suitable for a natural burial.

Natural Sharing Flower Sheaf
Made for sharing, this arrangement is made up of 4 bunches of flowers individually wrapped in eco wraps and parchment paper and then tied together in a hessian sack. The individual bunches can be separated after the service and used to decorate the wake or shared with family and friends.
Suitable for a green/natural burial.
